Features of the M1 Garand Airsoft Gun
![]() |
When you purchase an M1 Garand airsoft gun, you are choosing a model steeped in history and heritage. The M1 Garand was the first semi-automatic rifle issued to United States infantry. It replaced the Springfield 1903 rifle and itself was eventually replaced by the M14. The main usage of the M1 Garand came during World War II and the Korean War. This model sometimes used during the Vietnam War as well. This firearm features gas powered rotating bolt action, shoots up to 24 rounds per minute and features both rear and front sight. Because this model isn't used anymore, it is the perfect choice for history buffs and airsoft gun collectors alike.
You will find that for the most part, the M1 Garand is not widely available in the world of airsoft because there are other models more commonly used on the playing field. Not to say that it's impossible to find one. There are quite a few being sold on the Internet, although it will cost you to own one. The average cost of an M1 Garand is about $500 or so, depending on where you shop. A custom built model is going to cost you even more. For the price, however, you will receive lots of great features and likely be amazed at how similar the piece looks to the real thing.
Gas blow back bolt action, front and rear sight, adjustable hop up and an 8 round magazine capacity are a few features of the average M1 airsoft. Most of them accommodate 8mm pellets and come with extra ammo. Sometimes you can find combo packages which feature the gun, the ammo and other accessories such as carriers, slings and loaders. To comply with U.S. law, the tip will be painted bright orange. If you're well versed in military history and have had the opportunity to see a real M1 Garand in person or in pictures, you're certain to appreciate the intricate details of the airsoft version.
If there is an airsoft collector in your life, the M1 Garand airsoft gun makes a great gift! Because it's not the most common type of airsoft gun being sold and used today, it is likely to become a rare and treasured part of any collection. Whether or not this gun is used on the playing field is a matter of personal preference, although many choose not to do so. Many players use their less expensive guns during games and simulations and keep their more expensive airsoft replicas on display in a safe place.
